Last season, Frattesi made just five starts for Inter in Serie A.

The Italian international was certainly not a regular in the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven. Particularly in the most important matches.

That is not to say that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi did not ever put his trust in Frattesi.

The coach particularly looked to use the former Sassuolo midfielder as an impact substitute.

Frattesi is certainly a player capable of providing fresh legs and energy when his team need a boost.

And when Inter have been chasing matches, Frattesi has more than proven that he can pop up with the important goals.

Last season alone, the 24-year-old scored a remarkable two stoppage time winners for Inter.

Paganin: “Davide Frattesi An Inter Quality Player, He’ll Play 70% Of Matches This Season”

This season, it has been more of the same for Frattesi at Inter.

The 24-year-old has certainly gotten opportunities to play. But they have all been from the bench in Inter’s first three Serie A matches.

For Italy, on the other hand, it has become clear that Frattesi is one of Azzurri coach Luciano Spalletti’s first-choice starters.

The Inter midfielder certainly proved that over the international break. He started in both of Italy’s Nations League matches, scoring in both to cap off outstanding performances.

Former defender Paganin said of Frattesi that “He’s at Inter, a team who won the Scudetto and reached the Champions League final.”

“Inter have made a long-term investment in Frattesi,” he went on.

“Having someone like that allows you to rest easy for the future.”

“He doesn’t have the right to be a starter,” Paganin argued. “But he’s a player who is of the quality to play at a top team.”

And Paganin anticipated that “Nevertheless he’ll certainly play in at least 70% of the matches this season.”

“Given all the matches that the team has to play.”

“It’s difficult to imagine someone like him won’t be part of the squad rotation,” Paganin said of Frattesi. “And then with all these matches, the risk of injuries is very high.”
