Owing to a complete administrative error from Ibrox Noise (they do happen) we confess something was lost in translation and it was Trabzonspor who have bid for James Tavernier, not Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.

And our understanding is he’s accepted already, and will leave Rangers inside a week as long as the Turks giants, having soaked up Borna and Lundstram, meet Rangers’ asking price, reckoned to be around €4M.

And what’s the biggest irony?

Fabrizio Romano confirmed this story earlier, and he’s borderline gospel, showing how little Rangers fans can actually trust a single word coming from manager Philippe Clement’s mouth given he claimed it as fake news barely 48 hours ago.

We’ve already demonstrated how much absolute nonsense our manage now speaks, which screams of Gio and Gerrard just before they left, and this story confirms it.

As for Tavernier, he’s now officially as close as he has ever been to leaving, and now that mainstream outlets have confirmed the story (Sky Sports are carrying it now) it’s evident it’s true.

Fabrizio Romano is about as ‘fact’ as it gets – he has never got a single Rangers story wrong to the best of our knowledge, and the word is that the club captain is now ready to move on from Rangers and the mess we now are and commit to life in Turkey with ex-team mates Borna and Lunny, with a side preparing a real assault on winning the title in the Super Lig.

So apologies again for the miscommunication on Jose, but does it matter?

Either way Tav is 99% moving on.
