Rangers have emerged as favourites ahead of other suitors to sign Tottenham Hotspur winger Mikey Moore on loan, according to the Telegraph journalist Matt Law.

Rangers still want to bolster their attack and have been linked with Crystal Palace attacker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, but he picked up an injury on Friday night and the Ibrox club are now looking elsewhere.

Spurs want Moore to go and get regular playing opportunities elsewhere given the options available to head coach Thomas Frank, and the Ibrox club are ready to sign him.

Rangers manager Russell Martin is preparing to impress and hit the ground running in his debut campaign at the Scottish Premiership club, and signing the Tottenham academy graduate will come in handy.

The 17-year-old has played 21 times at senior level for the North London club, making 19 appearances across all competitions last term.

The England youth international left winger weighed in with a goal and two assists, and he could be a perfect addition to the Gers attack given his huge potential and quality.

Moore can also feature on the right, and Martin will be keen to have such a player within his ranks after his impressive cameos in the Premier League.

A deal for Rak-Sakyi to join Rangers was progressing before the injury threw a spanner in the works, and they are now looking to do business with Spurs for their teenage sensation.

They have signed Thelo Aasgaard, Oscar Cortes, Nasser Djiga, Emmanuel Fernandez, Max Aarons, Djeidi Gassama, Lyall Cameron and Joe Rothwell so far this summer as Martin continues his squad overhaul, and Moore could be next.

Rangers secured a 2-0 win over Panathinaikos in the first-leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League last week and will be looking to book a place in the next round during the return leg on Wednesday.
