All the latest Birmingham City news, as the start of the Championship season approaches.
It's already been a very busy summer for League One champions Birmingham City, who are now preparing for their Championship return with back-to-back promotions likely on the cards.
The Blues have enjoyed a hugely successful transfer window thus far, with eye-catching signings such as Demarai Gray, Kyogo Furuhashi and Tommy Doyle just a few of the impressive additions Chris Davies has made this summer.
However, the Midlands outfit seemingly aren't done with their summer business just yet, with plenty of names still being linked with a move to St Andrews @ Knighthead Park in the final weeks of the transfer window.
With the cash to splash and a hugely ambitious season ahead, Football League World has compiled all the latest Birmingham news, as the clock ticks down towards the start of the new Championship season.
Head coach Davies has admitted to BirminghamLive that the Blues are in need of a new left-back, as Lee Buchanan remains "months" away from fitness, leaving just Alex Cochrane as the sole left-back at the club.
The 40-year-old said in a recent interview: “Lee is a good few months away.
"You could see at the end [of the Port Vale friendly] that I was concerned with Alex about getting an injury so yes, we do need another left-back.”
So far, there are no links as to who the new left-back might be, and whether they will be solely brought in as depth, or will be expected to challenge Cochrane for the starting spot.
One name also linked with a switch to the second-city club is Mikey Moore of Tottenham Hotspur. The teenager has been a loan target for Davies, along with Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion.
However, it seems a move to B9 is now unlikely, as reports from Daily Telegraph reporter Matt Law on Monday morning have revealed that Rangers are now leading the race to sign the 17-year-old on a season-long loan deal.
"There's been a lot of interest, particularly from the Championship, but Rangers seen as most likely destination."
Whilst Rangers may have the last laugh when it comes to Moore, Birmingham could be set to get their own back on the Glasgow-based outfit by beating them to the signing of former Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski.
The North Macedonian left Pittodrie last summer, after scoring 44 goals in 98 appearances and becoming a firm favourite. However, after a lack of game time at new club Girona last season, the striker is reportedly on the radar of the newly-promoted side.
Rangers and Celtic were linked with a move to bring Miovski back to Scotland, but according to Gol, the Blues are 'in talks' to sign the former Aberdeen striker, and further strengthen their attacking arsenal.
The 26-year-old's move to the Spanish top flight hasn't gone to plan, with just four goals in 22 appearances for Girona, and he could now be on his way back to the United Kingdom for his first shot at the EFL.
