Miedema makes history with 100th international goal | OneFootball

Congratulations to Vivianne Miedema, who has become the first male or female Dutch player to score 100 senior goals for her country.

The City forward, already her nation’s record goalscorer, reached the milestone during the Netherlands’ Euro 2025 Group D opener against Wales.

It was a strike worthy of marking such a historic moment, with Miedema faking onto her right foot before curling an unstoppable curling drive into the far corner from distance.

The effort was remarkably similar to the Dutch forward’s goal for City away to Aston Villa in January 2025, which earned her the WSL Goal of the Season award.

Having scored her first senior international goal in 2013, our number six took just 126 appearances to reach a century 12 years later.

Incredibly, not a single one of Miedema’s 100 strikes for the Netherlands have come from the penalty spot.
