The upcoming European Championships are set to have a Manchester City flavour to proceedings.

Held in Switzerland, the 2025 tournament begins on 2 July and nations will compete for the prestigious prize leading to the final on Sunday 27 July at St Jakob-Park, Basel.

In total, eight Blues players have been included across five respective nation teams and they could certainly play a crucial part on the continent this summer.

Here’s when their national teams are in action across the group stages.

GROUP D: ENGLAND

City players selected: Khiara Keating, Alex Greenwood, Jess Park, Lauren Hemp.

Entering Euro 2025, Greenwood and Hemp are senior and crucial members of the Lionesses squad meanwhile Park and Keating are set to taste a major tournament for the first time.

Our centre-back and skilful winger were also members of the victorious England squad at Euro 2022 with the upcoming competition Greenwood’s sixth major tournament and Hemp’s third since making her debut in 2019.

Since 2024, Park has made 14 senior appearances for England and scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 Nations League win over Spain in February 2025.

GROUP C: GERMANY

City player selected: Rebecca Knaak.

After making her senior Germany debut in a 2-2 draw with the Netherlands in February, Knaak is set to taste a major tournament for the first this summer.

The commanding defender stamped her authority in 12 appearances for City since signing for the Club in January with a swathe of impressive performances while scoring four goals and registering an assist.

Before getting the nod form Christian Wuck for the 2025 Euros, she did help her nation’s Under-20s to FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup glory in 2014 – featuring in the 1-0 final victory over Nigeria in Montreal.

GROUP B: SPAIN

City player selected: Leila Ouahabi.

After her inclusions in Spain’s squad for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and 2022 Euros, Ouahabi is set to taste her third major tournament for her nation.

It comes off the back of the experienced, attacking left-back making 35 appearances for City last term – scoring once and registering three assists.

GROUP D: NETHERLANDS

Casparij and Miedema enter the upcoming tournament aiming to recapture the Netherlands' former glories.

The latter was an integral member of the team who lifted the 2017 Euros and the striker is closing in on becoming her nation’s first player to score 100 senior goals with her current tally at 97.

Both, however, were part of the Dutch side who lost out to France in the quarter-final in the previous competition and the 2025 version will be Miedema’s fifth major tournament and Casparij’s third.

GROUP A: SWITZERLAND

City player selected: Iman Beney.

Blues fans won’t need to wait long to see our second summer signing in action with Iman Beney an inclusion in hosts Switzerland’s squad after helping BSC Young Boys Frauen to the Swiss title last term.

She was also named in the Swiss Super League Team of the Season as a result, and she’ll be hoping her success will translate onto the international stage across July.

Despite being just 18 years old, she already has 10 senior caps to her name and was called into Switzerland’s World Cup 2023 squad before she ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament.
