Abbott joins Wycombe on loan | OneFootball

George Abbott has joined League One side Wycombe Wanderers on loan for the 2025/26 season.

The 19-year-old defensive midfielder has risen through our Academy system, having been with us since the age of eight.

He was part of our Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup double-winning side in 2022/23, before captaining our Under-21s to the Premier League 2 title the following year.

Having made his first team debut in our Premier League fixture at Leeds United in May, 2023, George enjoyed a successful loan spell at Notts County last season, helping his side reach the League Two play-offs.

He won the EFL Goal of the Season award for his effort against Accrington Stanley in January, while he was also shortlisted for League Two Young Player of the Season.
