Ongoings at The Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán of course took their place front and centre in the Spanish media headlines just shy of 24 hours ago.

As much came during Sevilla’s La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo.

En route to a disappointing 2-1 defeat for the Nervionenses, the aforementioned En-Nesyri was at the heart of a serious altercation.

After being hooked from proceedings on the hour mark, the frontman – who opened the scoring on Sunday – made abundantly clear his frustration, in lashing out and kicking a number of water bottles in front of the home dugout.

Manager Quique, bemused by the actions of his striker, in turn made a beeline for En-Nesyri, with a heated back-and-forth having seen Lucas Ocampos forced to step in to separate the pair.

Speaking on the back of the full-time whistle in Andalusia, the subject of the falling out, in turn, was inevitably put to En-Nesyri himself.

The Moroccan, however, was keen to play the situation down, adamant that it simply came in ‘the heat of the moment’:

“Nothing happened. I always want to help my team and it was the heat of the moment. Since we were 1-0 up, I didn’t want to go out. We have to forget it, these are things that always happen.”
