Athletic Club handed triple injury boost before Sevilla | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Athletic Club’s hopes of getting the better of Sevilla this weekend have been afforded a timely boost.

This comes amid confirmation that three members of Ernesto Valverde’s squad have returned to first-team training alongside the rest of their teammates.

Athletic are fresh off another disappointing result on Wednesday night, which saw the Basque outfit surrender an early advantage to ultimately slip to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo.

As much came with boss Valverde having been unable to call on any of sidelined trio Nico Williams, Oihan Sancet or Iker Muniain.

In turn, it will mark a welcome boost to hear that all three have since returned to group training.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Williams, Sancet and Muniain have recovered from their respective knocks, therefore expected to be available for selection this weekend.

Athletic Club will play out the penultimate fixture of their La Liga campaign on Sunday evening, when they welcome Sevilla to San Mamés.
