La Liga outfit Sevilla have come to a final decision on the future of head coach Quique Sánchez Flores beyond the summer.
That’s according to Diario de Sevilla, who point towards Quique as being lined up for an imminent exit.
The subject of the bench at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán has of course long taken its place centre stage in the headlines in Spain.
As much came amid contrasting claims surrounding the plans of the Sevilla hierarchy for next season.
Whilst some pointed towards the continuity of Quique as looking increasingly likely, others suggested that a change on the bench was being taken into serious consideration.
And, if the latest word to have surfaced over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, it is the latter path which will ultimately be taken.
As per the aforementioned Diario de Sevilla, the Nervionenses board sat down for a meeting on Thursday, to discuss Quique’s future.
And, when all was said and done, after lengthy deliberations, it was decided that the Spaniard will be sent on his way upon the season’s close.
This comes despite Quique still having a year to run on the contract he signed late last year.
When it comes to potential replacements, Las Palmas headmaster García Pimienta is highlighted as a leading option.
