Around this time of year, newspapers and online outlets normally declare their team of the seasons.
But French newspaper L’Equipe are known for their hilariously harsh ratings … and this year was no different.

Take into account that this is their team of the season. In their minds, the best 11 players in French football this year.
Which is why Lyon defender Léo Dubois earns a solid 5.2 rating … out of 10!
Reims have the best defence in Ligue 1 … so let’s give Yunis Abdelhamid and Hassane Kamara 5.71 and 5.44 respectively.
The best rating went to Neymar who ends 2019/20 with a 6.4 rating, despite making just 15 domestic appearances.
Talk about a tough crowd!
