WSL action continues this weekend, with some big names in action across the country.

Here’s what went down …

West Ham v Tottenham

Scorers: Brynjarsdóttir 69′

Expectations were high for this London derby with Tottenham having surprised many so far this season having lost just once in eight games.

But the north London side struggled to break down a resolute Hammers outfit in the first half, failing to register a shot on target.

And it was the home side who took the lead in the second half as Dagný Brynjarsdóttir finished well on 69 minutes.

Chelsea v Birmingham

Scorers: Kirby 4′ 75′, Kerr 18′ 29′ 44′

The Blues got off to a flying start as Fran Kirby netted inside the opening five minutes.

And they soon doubled their advantage as Sam Kerr bared down on goal and finished well.

The Australia international has been one of the players of the season so far and grabbed her second before the half hour mark with another trademark finish and completed her hat-trick on the stroke of half time.

Into the second half and Emma Hayes’s side took their foot off the game somewhat but still got their fifth on 75 minutes as Fran Kirby got her second of the afternoon.

Reading v Brighton

Scorers: Dowie 3′, Harries 88′

The Royals made the most of a lax Brighton start and took the lead through Natasha Dowie after only three minutes.

The Seagulls tried to push for an equaliser but left too many gaps at the back and they paid for that with just a few minutes to go.

Emma Harries raced in on goal and finished well to hand the Berkshire outfit all three points.

Leicester v Everton

Scorers: Magill 81′

It was Everton who went pushing for the early in the first half as they peppered the Foxes goal with shots.

The Merseyside outfit dominated into the second half but they were unable to break the deadlock as Leicester goalkeeper Demi Lambourne flourished.

But the Toffees monopoly of the ball finally paid dividends late on as Simone Magill came off the bench and scored with nine minutes remaining.

Man Utd v Arsenal

Scorers: Miedema 48′, McCabe (pen) 55′

After a bright United start, Arsenal quickly took control and almost went ahead when Beth Mead struck the crossbar.

But their pressure eventually told when Vivianne Miedema beat Mary Earps from range, before Katie McCabe won and converted a penalty moments later.

Miedema struck the crossbar with a free-kick late on but their lead was never really in danger, with Arsenal extending their lead at the top to four points.
