Another brilliant weekend of WSL action in the can. Here’s the best of it all …
There was only one place to start after four-time WSL winner Emma Hayes celebrated her 100th victory in the competition on Saturday.
It was a fourth win in a row for champions Chelsea, who have scored 15 and conceded just two in those outings.
Two teams came into the weekend with 100% records, only one maintained theirs after Tottenham lost to a Brighton side that continues to impress.
Arsenal remain top of the table and remain perfect, beating Everton 3-0 thanks to goals from Katie McCabe, Lotte Wubben-Moy and Frida Maanum.
The Gunners are the team to beat.
Georgia Stanway was rightly sent off after a poor, high challenge in the Manchester derby. There was no getting away with it.
Despite playing almost an hour with 10 women, City rallied to take the lead through Bunny Shaw and ultimately score a late equaliser through Ellen White. Maybe that was enough, for now, to keep manager Gareth Taylor from being given his marching orders with City ninth in the table?
Chelsea made seven changes as they faced Leicester and struggled to get going against a stubborn backline.
Changes were made and substitute Pernille Harder scored before fellow sub Sam Kerr laid on another for Fran Kirby. Those two are some pairing.
That 2-0 defeat to the champions meant Leicester are still waiting for their first point since promotion. Still, they can take some heart from the way they stayed in the game against the Blues, with goalkeeper Kirstie Levell proving her credentials once again.
The WSL has had a clear top three for a while and Manchester United once again look the big favourites to undo that hegemony.
After that? The field is more packed and more impressive than ever.
Everton were considered the team to watch at the start of the season but Brighton, West Ham, Tottenham are making convincing plays for that particular crown and it’s brilliant for the league.
Four games, 28 shots, no goals for Reading before this weekend. Half a game, four shots, three goals by half-time against Aston Villa.
When your luck’s in, it’s in.
