Alisson, Tunisia's new gem?
World Cup 2026 qualifiers: Is Alisson eligible for the Tunisia national team?
Tunisia could benefit from the talents of a highly skilled player during the upcoming international break, scheduled for next September.
The Carthage Eagles will take on Liberia and Equatorial Guinea as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The son of Adailton, the former Espérance de Tunis player who became a naturalized Tunisian in 2021, Alisson could follow in his father's footsteps by representing the Carthage Eagles.
First, this would require obtaining a Tunisian passport, and secondly, the willingness of national team coach Sami Trabelsi to call him up.
What should you know about Alisson?
At 22 years old, the Brazilian sensation joined Sporting Lisbon during the last summer transfer window from Brazilian side Vitoria. His market value is estimated at €1.5 million according to Transfermarkt. Developed in Brazil, he moved to Portugal in 2024, joining Leiria on loan.
