Marcus Rashford has already completed his medical ahead of his imminent move to FC Barcelona.
The Manchester United forward will join the Catalan club on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
The forward arrives to reinforce the Blaugrana’s left flank as per manager Hansi Flick’s request, who is understood to have pushed for the signing before the pre-season tour of Asia.
Barcelona plan to officially announce Rashford’s signing in the coming hours and to present him in front of fans and media before the squad departs for their pre-season tour of Asia.
Ahead of the announcement, fans are curious to find out which shirt number the Manchester United loanee will wear at Barcelona.
Rashford wore the No. 10 shirt at Manchester United prior to his loan exit to Aston Villa in January, but Lamine Yamal is Barcelona’s No. 10. During his stint at Villa Park, the Englishman donned the No. 9 kit, currently held by Robert Lewandowski at Barça.
As things stand, Rashford has four options to pick his kit number from – 12, 14, 19, and 22.

The No. 12 shirt has been vacant at Barcelona since 2022, with Martin Braithwaite being the last player to wear it, prior to which it was held by Riqui Puig.
Rashford could also choose No. 14, the jersey once worn by club legend Thierry Henry, now vacant following Pablo Torre’s departure.
Prior to Torre, the shirt was held by the likes of Joao Felix, Memphis Depay, Nico Gonzalez, and Philippe Coutinho.
Another possibility for Rashford is the #19, recently freed up by Lamine. The No. 19 is a special one for the Englishman, as he wore that number for two seasons at Real Madrid.
Lastly, there is the No. 22, left open after Ilkay Gundogan’s exit last summer.
At the moemnt, these are the only choices for Rashford, unless there are further exits or squad number changes within the current team.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Inaki Pena are expected to leave, but their numbers will be inaccessible to the soon-to-be new signing.
The numbers 18 and 15 could become available as Pau Victor and Andreas Christensen are facing uncertain futures.
