Fulham ended a poor recent run of away form (W0 D1 L2) with a 2-0 victory at West Ham today. The visitors recorded a league double over the Hammers for just the third time thanks to an early goal against the run of play by Pereira. It arrived after a number of half chances weren't capitalised upon by the hosts, and was actually Fulham's first shot of the game. Iwobi flighted a ball over from the right to Muniz, yet thanks to Mavropanos' tame interception - Pereira could latch on and dribble round Fabianski to smash home nine minutes in. The second goal arrived for Pereira in the second half, after again, West Ham were found wanting going forward. The Brazilian linked up well with Iwobi to spark the counter, before receiving a low cross from the Nigerian international to tap home with ease. West Ham were relatively toothless in this outing, producing just four shots on target. Even then, when they did move forward, Bassey was equal to most assaults on his area. Now, the Hammers will switch their attention to back to Europe as they prepare to face Leverkusen again. Fulham, on the other hand, look ahead to the visit of Liverpool next Sunday. With a defeat for the Reds at home to Crystal Palace today, Fulham's xG of 3.20 could materialise in dangerous fashion unless Klopp's side are on the revenge path. For Moyes' West Ham, their meagre xG output of 1.07 will need to be pushed if they are to overturn their Quarter-final deficit against Leverkusen on Thursday. While we thank you for joining us today, it's worth extending our best wishes to young George Earthy following his head injury today which led to the extended stoppage time. Thank you and goodbye.
