West Ham United are interested in signing Strasbourg’s Junior Mwanga (22) before the end of the transfer window, according to a report from Sky Sports. The Frenchman is one of many players that the Premier League club are targeting as they look to bolster Graham Potter’s squad before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Mwanga is viewed as a potential versatile addition at the London Stadium, given his ability to play in both defensive midfield and at centre-back. Whilst there is interest from the East London club, it is not a guarantee that the Hammers will act upon their interest. West Ham are considering four different options to bolster their midfield.

Mwanga to join Magassa at the Hammers?

The Premier League outfit already look set to have secured the arrival of one defensive midfielder from Ligue 1. West Ham have reached an agreement with Monaco to sign Soungoutou Magassa, and the Frenchman has already arrived in London to complete a medical.
