According to Football Insider, the Hammers are keen to work on bringing the pair into the club quickly this summer.

The London club wants to get started on their transfer business soon, as they are planning a major overhaul behind the scenes.

David Moyes is set to be replaced as manager following the Scot’s decision to not renew his contract.

Julen Lopetegui is expected to take charge of the team for next season, with sporting director Tim Steidten already working on making improvements to the first team squad.

Steidten is targeting signings from English football this summer, with West Ham expected to lose multiple homegrown players from their squad.

O’Hare is set to become a free agent following the end of his Coventry contract, with the Hammers planning to make a move to sign the playmaker.

Greaves is still contracted to Hull, with the Tigers reportedly placing a £15 million asking price on the centre-back.

West Ham are hoping to secure a move for both quickly, as they plan for life after Moyes.

O’Hare has impressed during his time with the Sky Blues, and was a key part of the team’s run to the FA Cup semi-final this year.

However, his contract at the CBS Arena has expired, meaning he is free to sign for another club this summer.

O’Hare featured 31 times in the Championship this season, helping the Sky Blues reach ninth place in the table (all stats from Fbref).

He contributed six goals and three assists, as Mark Robins’ side missed out on the play-offs by just nine points.

Meanwhile, Greaves has a contract with the Tigers until the summer of 2026.

The defender was key to Liam Rosenior’s team finishing seventh in the table, playing 43 times in the league as they also narrowly missed out on a top six finish.

Hull City’s manager search

Hull decided to part ways with Rosenior following their seventh place finish, which has put Greaves’ future up in the air.

It remains to be seen who will replace the 39-year-old, but one of their first decisions could be influencing what happens with the centre-back.

The likes of Martí Cifuentes, Steve Cooper and Danny Rohl have been linked with the role, as well as ex-Hamburg coach Tim Walter.

It is hoped that Hull will be able to make an appointment soon, with owner Acun Ilicali targeting next week for an official announcement.

Good business for West Ham

If West Ham can seal a double deal to sign these two players for £15 million then that would be a very solid start to the summer window.

Both players are ready for the step up to the Premier League, and West Ham could be an ideal landing spot for them.

O’Hare will have stiff competition for game time, but the likes of Lucas Paqueta may well depart the London Stadium anyway.

And the team needs fresh legs at the back, which Greaves can provide at just 23.
