Brighton & Hove Albion’s interim head coach Mikey Harris says that his team will be ready for Liverpool when they face The Reds at Broadfield Stadium on Sunday.

The Seagulls go into this weekend’s fixture second-bottom of the Barclays Women’s Super League table after winning just one of their last seven league matches.

Speaking in a Brighton & Hove Albion press conference this morning, interim boss Harris said that his team are in a really good place ahead of the clash, however, he does not underestimate the calibre of the club’s latest opponents following the 4-0 defeat in the reverse fixture in November.

“They’re well-coached,” Harris said. “I know Matt [Beard], I know what he’s about and what his teams will look like.

“We’re expecting a very tough game on Sunday but we’ll be ready for them and prepared as best we can. We will be going all out to win.”

Despite Brighton & Hove Albion’s lowly league ranking, just two points separates them from seventh position. Harris believes that the results will come if his side continue to try to better themselves.

He added “It is a results business. If you focus on that constant improvement, looking to get better every single day, every single training session, every single game, I think that the results will come.

“We’re hoping that we can put in a performance that the fans can be proud of. We want to entertain, we want to play exciting football, we want to get people up off their seats and hopefully, we can do that on Sunday.”
