The Seagulls announced news of the player’s departure via a post on their official club website afternoon.
Zigiotti joined Brighton & Hove Albion in the January 2022 transfer window after leaving Swedish club BK Häcken. The 26-year-old has gone on to make 51 appearances for the Sussex club in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she has scored four goals.
The attacker has been a solid performer for Brighton & Hove Albion and has captained the team during her spell in England but the time has come for her to take up a new challenge.
After Zigiotti’s Brighton & Hove Albion departure was announced, the club’s managing director of women’s and girls’ football, Zoe Johnson said “Julia has been an important player in the dressing room since her arrival, captaining the team on many occasions.
“We thank her for her contributions here and wish her the best of luck for the future.”
Zigiotti is the seventh first team player to leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer. Her national team colleague Emma Kullberg is also amongst the Sussex club’s close season departures.
