Less than a week after announcing the rebranding of the French to-flight to Ligue 1 McDonald’s, the LFP have now revealed a new logo to herald the new era.

McDonald’s will replace Uber Eats as Ligue 1’s naming partner from next season. The fast-food chain has secured the rights for the next three seasons. A new naming partner and now a new logo too. The LFP released Ligue 1’s new logo on Wednesday. The logo incorporates an ‘L’ and the number ‘1’ in a modern design. A new logo for Ligue 2 will also be revealed in mid-April as the LFP modernises its aesthetic.

The head of the LFP, Vincent Labrune spoke about the new design in a press release. “It is a new stage in the plan to elevate our competitions. For many months, we have worked on rebranding our leagues […] this new logo and the visual identity that accompanied it, constitute another step in this ambition, which will be visible for all fans from next season,” he said.

The re-branding comes at a crucial juncture for the LFP and French football more generally, with attempts to sell the broadcasting rights for the upcoming cycle ongoing. With the rebranding of the logo, the modernisation campaign of the ‘League of Talents’ permeates all levels.
