Mauricio Pochettino was very frustrated in his press conference today. He insisted he didn’t want to blame his players, but time and again he pointed to the same issue which really put the onus on them.
“Today, it’s so clear what we missed: when we don’t have the ball, [we lack the effort] to increase our level and our capacity to win the ball back and not to allow them to transition so easily. From one area to another.”

He pointed to the fact that his team had allowed the second goal from a corner because they had been so lackadaisical in letting their ten man opposition get the whole way up the pitch thanks to a lack of intensity.
