The Victor Osimhen to Manchester United saga rolls on like a bad sequel no one asked for. Packed with the usual whispers, U-turns and endless speculation, there seems to be no end in sight.

United have been linked with Osimhen at various stages of his career, and this summer is no exception, as uncertainty continues to surround his club future.

After his failed bid to force an exit from Napoli last summer, Osimhen was promptly exiled and shipped off to Galatasaray, a move that could’ve rattled some. But to his credit, he barely blinked. Instead, he went on a tear, racking up a ridiculous 37 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances.

It’s believed he has no future at Napoli and is on the market for €75m – the value of his release clause, which Napoli insist must be triggered.

Earlier this month, it looked like Osimhen was set to join Al-Hilal, only for him to pull the plug at the final moment. The Saudi Pro League side are gearing up to table an even more lucrative offer, but according to a report covered by The Peoples Person, the striker is expected to reject them once again.

Depending on which headline you catch, Osimhen is either heading to United, Liverpool, Juventus, Chelsea, or Arsenal. His transfer situation has turned into the Wild West of speculation, with so many conflicting reports that it’s nearly impossible to separate fact from fiction.

There have been suggestions that the 26-year-old “dreams” of playing at Old Trafford, while other reports claim he’s held talks with Liverpool. He’s also previously admitted to being a Chelsea fan and even came close to joining them last summer before the deal collapsed. At this stage, it’s hard to say where his true preference lies.

Now, Turkish news outlet Sabah [via SportWitness] claim that Osimhen has “shelved” the idea of moving to Arsenal or United.

It’s said Osimhen has offers on the table from all three Premier League clubs, but Chelsea are believed to hold the greater appeal for the striker.

He had distanced himself from United and Arsenal for the time being.

Meanwhile, he has “a traffic of meetings” with Chelsea in an effort to get a deal over the line.

But true to the ever-dramatic Osimhen saga, there’s still a possibility he ends up in Saudi Arabia, or even back in Turkey, where favourable tax rates could make a move far more straightforward than navigating a Premier League switch.

For now, all we can do is wait and see how this one unfolds.
