The agent of a Manchester United star contacted four big clubs in his player’s homeland about a move ‘but received negative feedback’.
Manchester United are again looking at a summer of substantial change following a dire season which saw the side hit new lows.
Ruben Amorim was unable to change the scenario at Old Trafford and a lost Europa League final put the final nail in a dreadful campaign.
The pressure is now on Amorim to rapidly improve Manchester United next season and the club are looking to support him in the transfer market, with Matheus Cunha already signed.
Players will also have to go and the Red Devils want to offload goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
The Turkish shot-stopper’s agent is now hard at work to find a new home for his client and he contacted representatives of the big four clubs in Turkey – Galatasaray, Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor.
However, the agent ‘received negative feedback’ with none of the big four ready to sign Bayindir, according to Turkish broadcaster A Spor (via Fotomac).
There has been interest from another Turkish side Caykur Rizespor.
That has not tickled Bayindir’s fancy though and if he cannot move to one of Turkey’s top four clubs then he would like to continue at another European side.
The goalkeeper still has another two years left to run on his current deal at Manchester United.
He made four appearances in the Premier League in the recent season and conceded ten goals, keeping just one clean sheet.
Bayindir is likely to want to make sure that wherever he goes he is in line to play regular football as he looks to add to his ten Turkey caps.
