Anna Anvegård and Izzy Christiansen got the goals for Everton as they claimed their first three points in their group.
Vasseur got off the the perfect start in his role on Merseyside with Everton taking the lead after just two minutes. Swedish international forward Anvegård took aim in the box and her effort looped over home keeper Demi Lambourne into the back of the net.
Kenza Dali then saw a shot well-saved by Lambourne before Christiansen curled home a stunning effort from the edge of the box just before half-time to make it 2-0.
Leicester City went close to reducing the arrears early in the second half but substitute Paige Bailey-Gayle fired just wide before Lambourne again came out on top against Dali.
Georgia Brougham then saw a shot blocked before Leicester City finally found a way back into the match with eight minutes to go when Jemma Purfield’s free-kick hit the bar and Ashleigh Plumptre directed the loose ball home.
Everton made sure of the victory with three minutes to go when Christiansen’s cross was headed home by substitute Valerie Gauvin.
New boss Vasseur will now be hoping to see his side transfer this evening’s performance into their Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion at Walton Hall Park on Saturday evening.
