  • A France team featuring Paris's Elisa De Almeida, Grace Geyoro, Griedge Mbock and Sakina Karchaoui lost to Canada despite another flash of brilliance from our striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto, who scored Les Bleues' only goal.
  • Korbin Albert's USA came out on top against Germany. The United States are now the second nation to have already made it through to the quarter-finals, after Spain.
  • Australia – with Clare Hunt in their starting line-up – beat Zambia 6-5 in a crazy match after being 5-2 down.
  • Nigeria – with our new striker, Jennifer Echegini, on their bench – lost 1-0 to their Spanish counterparts.
