While England celebrated their relentless spirit and late-match brilliance, Italy were left to reflect on what might have been after coming heartbreakingly close to an upset.

Here are two standout winners and two unfortunate losers from a night that will live long in tournament history.

🥇 Winners

Michelle Agyemang

The teen sensation once again proved her match-winning potential. Fresh off her goalscoring heroics against Sweden, Agyemang came off the bench and smashed in a 96th‑minute equaliser, slotting home from a Giuliani spill to force extra time.

That was the Arsenal striker's second pivotal substitute impact in this tournament, emerging as a genuine super-sub.

Chloe Kelly

Despite missing the initial penalty in the 119th minute, Kelly showed remarkable composure; quickly reacting to her own rebound and delivering the decisive winner

Kelly's instinct, timing, and determination in the dying seconds highlight her importance to the squad as she kept England on course for a third consecutive major tournament final.

Cristiana Girelli

A tournament standout, Girelli was unfortunate to exit the game injured in the 64th minute. Her tears on the pitch underscored both the physical and emotional toll of what may have been her final major tournament run

Without her leadership and goal presence, Italy’s forward momentum evaporated late in the game.

Emma Severini

Italy nearly held on for a famous upset, but Emma Severini’s late foul on Beth Mead gifted England the penalty that changed everything at the death.

Defensively, Italy had stood firm throughout the contest, but in the closing few minutes, concentration cracked and cost the Azzurre a spot in the final.
