Tousart leaves Union

1. FC Union Berlin have confirmed that Lucas Tousart's time at the club has come to an end.

The 28-year-old midfielder is returning to his homeland, France, to join Stade Brest.

"I came to Union for a season I had never experienced before – from the Champions League to staying up in the last second,” said Tousart.

“We learned a lot from that as a team, but also personally. My time with Union was intense and formative, which is why I would like to thank the club and, above all, the fans for their support.

"Now the right moment has come for me to return to France, which I am very much looking forward to.”

Tousart spent two seasons at Union Berlin, making a total of 45 appearances.
