Alexander Isak has completed his long-awaited move to Liverpool for a British-record fee.
The Sweden international signs for the Anfield outfit on a six-year deal with Arne Slot's side paying Newcastle a record £125m - the most between two Premier League sides.
Isak has been a revelation since he joined the Magpies in 2022, scoring 54 goals in 88 appearances and helping the Tyneside outfit lifted their first piece of silverware in over 70 years.
However, his time with the club ended on a very sour note amid accusations of broken promises from the player, training away from the rest of the squad, and his absence from the opening three Premier League games of the season.
“I feel amazing," said Isak.
“It’s been a long journey to get here. But I’m super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for. It’s something I’m proud of and I’m really looking forward to it.
“I’m just happy it’s done and that I can get back to work. I’m looking forward to seeing my teammates and the fans, and getting back out there.”
Isak is the last piece of the puzzle for Slot has he looks to lead Liverpool to a second-successive title after already spending over £250m this summer on the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpoing.
