Tottenham playmaker Lo Celso withdraws from Argentina squad

Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has withdrawn from the Argentina squad.

The central midfielder has been played a lot in the past few weeks, as Spurs have endured a fixture pile up.

Now Lo Celso is set to miss Argentina's World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Bolivia.

The 24-year-old has a slight thigh injury, and will stay at Tottenham to recover.

Lo Celso has played 42 games for Spurs in all competitions since signing, initially on oan, in August 2019.
