Tottenham Hotspur remain firmly interested in Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze as the club looks to bolster its attacking options before the close of the transfer window, according to Sky Sports. With a long-term injury to James Maddison disrupting Thomas Frank’s plans, Spurs are prioritising additions in attacking midfield, on the wing, and in defence.
“They have a long-standing interest in the player and he has been among their top No.10 targets this summer,” reported Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas and Mark McAdam. Eze’s creativity, ball-carrying ability, and Premier League experience make him a prime candidate to step straight into Frank’s side and deliver immediate impact.
The injury to Maddison has forced Tottenham to accelerate their attacking recruitment. Two attacking signings are now considered essential before the deadline, with Eze and Real Madrid’s Nico Paz among the players under consideration for the No.10 role. The club has also approached Manchester City over the possibility of signing winger Savinho, who is currently on loan at Girona.
For Frank, having multiple creative outlets is crucial to his dynamic, high-energy football. Eze’s ability to operate between the lines, carry the ball through pressure, and create chances would fit seamlessly into the system Frank is building in North London.

Eze has been one of Crystal Palace’s standout performers, consistently providing a blend of technical quality and composure in the final third. His versatility allows him to play centrally or drift wide, giving Spurs tactical flexibility in matches where opponents look to frustrate and defend deep.
His Premier League pedigree means he would not require the adaptation period often needed by overseas signings, and his proven ability against top-six clubs adds weight to Tottenham’s interest. With Maddison sidelined, Eze could become the creative heartbeat of the team, linking midfield to attack with vision and flair.
Arsenal showed interest in Eze earlier in the window, but Sky Sports reports that their focus remains on player sales rather than new acquisitions. This could leave Tottenham with a clearer path to their target, although Crystal Palace’s reluctance to sell such a key player will inevitably make negotiations challenging.

With the transfer deadline approaching, Spurs face a decision on whether to push strongly for Eze or pursue alternative options. Given his ability to transform the side’s attacking output, a move now could be a decisive moment in their season.
For Tottenham fans, Eberechi Eze feels like the perfect solution to a pressing problem. Losing James Maddison for an extended period has left a gap in creativity, and Eze offers the technical craft, dribbling ability, and goalscoring threat to fill it.
Supporters are likely to view Thomas Frank’s pursuit of Eze as a statement of intent. Rather than settling for short-term cover, the club is targeting a proven Premier League performer who can raise the level of the starting XI.
Eze’s ability to break down compact defences would be invaluable in matches where Tottenham dominate possession but struggle to find openings. With the right supply line and Frank’s tactical structure, he could become a key figure in the club’s push for European qualification or higher.
If Spurs can complete a deal for Eze alongside the winger and defender Frank wants, there will be renewed belief that this squad has the depth and quality to compete across the season. For many fans, that combination of ambition and smart recruitment is exactly what they have been waiting to see.
