RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner appears to have confirmed the rumours that he is set to join Liverpool this summer.
Werner scored his 27th goal of the season in his side’s 5-0 Bundesliga victory over Schalke on Saturday.
And speaking to journalists in the mixed zone after the game, the German international made a big revelation about his future.
“Jürgen Klopp is the best coach in the world,” said Werner.
“Many things speak for the fact that I would fit in well at Liverpool with my playing style.”
And speaking to Sky Germany, Werner added: “But I don’t think about that at the moment because we have so much to do with Leipzig. I won’t rule out anything.
“We have the Euros in the summer, I want to focus on that tournament. Everything else I will think about after the season.”
The 23-year-old is valued at approximately €50-60m and if he does head to Anfield in the summer, it will be interesting to see whether the Reds sell any of their forwards to make way for Werner’s arrival.
