The waiting is finally over and it is time for the Champions League group stage draw in Istanbul.

19:24 – And that concludes this evening’s Champions League group stage draw in Istanbul. We hope you’ve enjoyed following along and are looking forward to the start of the action.

Only 10 days to wait …

19:17 – Karim Benzema is the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year winner.

19:12  – UEFA Women’s Player of the Year time. And that honour goes to Alexia Putellas of Barcelona.

19:06 – Carlo Ancelotti claims the UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year for his heroics with Real Madrid.

19:04 – Sarina Wiegman wins UEFA Women’s Coach of the Year for leading England to Euros glory.

19:03 – Awards will now follow.

19:02 – Here are your groups in full! Some tasty ties in there.

18:59 – Viktoria Plzen into a very tough group to conclude it. They join Bayern, Barcelona and Inter.

18:58 – Maccabi Haifa go into Group H. And they will face PSG, Juventus and Benfica.

18:57 Dinamo Zagreb out now. And they go to Group E with Milan, Chelsea and Salzburg.

18:56 – Rangers are next and its Group A for them with Ajax, Liverpool and Napoli.

18:55 – It’s Group B for Brugge with Porto, Atlético Madrid and Leverkusen.

18:55 – Copenhagen into Group G with Man City, Dortmund and Sevilla.

18:53 – Marseille into Group D with Frankfurt, Tottenham and Sporting CP.

18:52 – And now it is time to conclude things with the sides from pot four. We start with Celtic and they join Real Madrid, Leipzig and Shakhtar!

18:50 – What a group! Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Inter.

18:50 – Shakhtar Donetsk join Real Madrid and RB Leipzig.

18:49 – Sporting CP are into Group D, where they’ll face Eintracht Frankfurt and Tottenham.

18:48 – Group B for Bayer Leverkusen with Porto and Atlético Madrid.

18:47 – Borussia Dortmund join Manchester City and Sevilla in Group G.

18:46 – And now Benfica. The Lisbon giants go into Group H beside PSG and Juventus.

18:45 – We have Salzburg next and they go into Group E with Milan and Chelsea.

18:44 – Halfway through. The first pot three team out is Napoli and they go into Group A with Ajax and Liverpool.

18:40 – Chelsea have been drawn with Milan, while Porto take on Atlético Madrid. Pot three sides incoming!

18:39 – Barcelona join Bayern Munich in Group C. A Robert Lewandowski homecoming!

18:38 – Sevilla are next and go into Group G with Man City.

1837 – It’s Liverpool! And they will face Ajax in Group A.

1836 – Next we have Tottenham Hotspur and they join Eintracht Frankfurt in Group D.

18:35 – Juventus next and its Group H with PSG.

18:33 – RB Leipzig are first out from pot two and they go into Group F with Real Madrid.

18:31 – Group F for Real Madrid. And then Manchester City into Group G, which leaves PSG for Group H.

18:30 – Eintracht Frankfurt, in their first year in the competition, go into Group D and are followed by Italian champions Milan in Group E.

18:29 – Porto follow and they’re in Group B. Third are Bayern Munich and into Group C.

18:28 – Ajax! We have the first team out and into Group A.

18:26 – We’ve had the customary explainer of how all it works. And pot one should be drawn any minute now.

18:22 – Giorgio Marchetti (the administrative legend) on stage now. It shouldn’t be long …

18:20 – The Champions League draw isn’t the only thing happening in Istanbul this evening. Besitkas have announced the arrival of Dele Alli from Everton.

18:15 – And he is joined by 2009 winner Yaya Touré, a star with Barcelona and Manchester City.

18:14 – Hamit Altintop, a man with 41 appearances in this competition, brings that famous big-eared trophy onto the stage.

18:10 – Iconic Italian coach Arrigo Sacchi is the recipient of this year’s President’s Award for the way he revolutionised the game in his homeland with Parma, Milan and the Azzurri.

18:05 – The obligatory highlights package being screened now of Real Madrid’s epic run to the final and ultimate victory last season.

18:00 – They’re on stage in Istanbul and the festivities shall commence imminently!

17:55 – The ceremony is due to start at 18:00 CET. A reminder that with UEFA’s infamous preamble and awards to be handed out, the actual drawing of the balls is likely to be closer to 18:30.
