The 4 Watford FC players surely keen to escape Vicarage Road this summer

Watford have a big job on their hands this summer to turn around ther fortunes.

After another Championship season that is going to see them finish somewhere mid-table, much work is needed to be done in order to get the Hornets heading towards even a play-off challenge.

Part of that work will be transfers, and deciding which players should be at Vicarage Road next season.

Letting the right people depart could be as important as bringing in new faces, and with that in mind, below are four names we think will be looking to exit WD18 when the transfer window arrives.

Kwadwo Baah (Loan)

One player who will surely be looking for a way out at Vicarage Road - if first-team opportunities are not there - is Kwadwo Baah.

The 21-year-old joined Watford back in 2021, and has since had loan spells with Fortuna Dusseldorf in 2.Bundesliga and Burton Albion in League One.

The latter of those spells came this season, but was cut short due to a hamstring injury, though neither have been truly impressive.

Still, Baah is contracted to the Hornets until 2026, so it is in their interests to keep trying to find a place for the player to show his talent. With that in mind, another loan spell could be on the cards next season.

In bringing in Tom Ince, Valerien Ismael added plenty of Championship experience to his Watford squad. However, things simply have not worked out for the 32-year-old.

Despite a run of starts early in the season, Ismael soon lost faith in the Englishman, and since December, he has very much been a bit part player.

Ince's chances have hardly improved under interim boss Tom Cleverley, either.

Despite Ince being contracted to Watford until 2025, he and the Hornets could well amicably part ways this summer if the 32-year-old has ambitions to play anything close to regular football next season.

Ashley Fletcher (Permanent)

Another Watford player surely seeking a permanent exit this summer is striker Ashley Fletcher.

Fletcher was signed by Watford in 2021, and the deal has proven to be as strange as it seemed at the time.

Indeed, the forward has been presented with very little playing time at the club, even despite them being in the Championship for the last two seasons.

This season, Fletcher has been on loan at Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday, but has failed to score in 28 appearances in all competitions.

A move away from Watford on a permanent basis - rather than yet another loan - would make sense for all parties this summer.

Imran Louza (Permanent)

Last but not least, Imran Louza is the fourth and final player likely to be seeking a Watford move this summer.

The Moroccan international is another player signed by the club in 2021, but things have been tough for the midfielder.

Despite his talent, he has failed to perform consistently, and as a result, lost his place in the side this season.

A loan move to Ligue 1 followed in January, and unless whoever Watford next hire as their head coach really wants him to stay, it seems like Louza will move elsewhere permanently this summer in search of a fresh start.
