Team’s Up – Surprise as Bolingoli starts, first start for McCarthy | OneFootball

Ange Postecoglou has named his starting XI for this afternoon’s game against Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena. Celtic are yet to win at this ground since the West Lothian were promoted in 2018.

After the narrow defeat in Seville against Real Betis, Celtic will be hoping to get back to winning ways against a stubborn side. The major surprise is that Boli Bolingoli starts for his first game since the summer of 2020.

In goals, Joe Hart continues as Celtic’s first choice goalkeeper. The English goalie continues as captain in the absence of Callum McGregor.

In defence, Postecoglou has opted to continue with Carter-Vickers and Juranovic but the real surprise is Boli Bolingoli starting. Stephen Welsh replaces Carl Starfelt in the back line.

In midfield, McCarthy, Turnbull and Rogic start as a midfield three.

In attack, Albian Ajeti starts as he looks to improve on his record of three goals in the last two games. He is joined by Jota on left and the returning Liel Abada on the right.

On the bench: Bain, Scales, Bitton, Johnston, Soro, Montgomery.
