Atalanta, who are currently top of United’s UCL group, will visit Old Trafford in what could be a mouth-watering clash. The Italian outfit have not fared well in Serie A this season but are riding their luck in Europe’s premier competition.

After losing to B.S.C Young Boys on the opening matchday and securing a last-gasp victory against Villarreal, the Manchester-based club have found themselves in somewhat of a tough spot ahead of their two ties against Atalanta.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be boosted by the return of three of his stars. Edinson Cavani and Fred, who missed the game on the weekend due to their respective international duties on Friday morning, will be available for selection against the Serie A club.

Aaron wan-Bissaka, who was handed a two-game ban for his dangerous tackle against Young Boys, was out for the game against Villarreal but will be back for this clash after his ban was halved.

The French duet of Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane were unavailable against the Foxes and will be out for the game on Wednesday as well. Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire are thought to be the likely starters in the centre-back roles and will be looking to keep the club’s first UCL clean sheet of the season.

Marcus Rashford made his return against Leicester and will be available for this game as well as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to hit back at his critics with a statement victory.
