Manchester United are in Premier League action again on Saturday when they host Burnley. Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has predicted the result and he thinks Burnley can cause us problems at Old Trafford.

The final weeks of the season are crucial for Erik ten Hag since INEOS will be deciding whether to stick with or sack the manager ahead of next season. It has been a disappointing campaign for the Reds, though many fans feel that the Dutchman deserves a third season in charge with a proper structure built around him.

Ten Hag will be encouraged by what he saw on Wednesday night in United’s 4-2 win over Sheffield United, but now the team must be challenged to do it all again versus Burnley.

Merson, who gives his Premier League predictions to SportsKeeda, gave his opinion on the Marcus Rashford situation before casting his verdict on Saturday’s game.

“Marcus Rashford is really struggling and I think this is the first time in his career where the chips ate completely against him.”

“He can so easily ask for a transfer, but I think he will play through it and try to get his confidence back.”

Merson added that he thinks Burnley will cause United problems at Old Trafford, even though he has predicted a 3-1 scoreline in our favour.

“I don’t like predicting Manchester United as they are a bag of revels.

“Burnley will cause them major problems and will definitely score a goal, but they aren’t tight enough defensively to get a result at Old Trafford.”
