Steve Bruce has admitted that he is “concerned” by Newcastle’s lack of options up front ahead of their EFL Cup clash with Leicester on Wednesday.
The Magpies will be without Allan Saint-Maximin, Miguel Almiron, Andy Carroll and Dwight Gayle tonight through injury, while Joelinton will not be risked after he played a full 90 minutes on Sunday.
It means that Yoshinori Muto will lead the line against the Foxes, and despite being impressed by the Japan international, Bruce has revealed his worries over a paucity of replacements.
