Spain will be without Pedri, Dani Carvajal, and Robin Le Normand as they prepare to face France in the semi-finals of Euro 2024 in Munich on Tuesday.

Pedri suffered a knee injury early on during the 2-1 victory over Germany last week. Regardless of Spain’s result against Les Bleus, he will play no further part in the tournament. Carvajal and Le Normand miss out through suspension. The former was already destined to miss the match after accumulating yellow cards, even prior to the last-minute foul that earned him a second yellow on the evening and a subsequent red.

Dani Olmo will start in place of Pedri, Jesus Navas will start at right-back and Aymeric Laporte, who came through France’s youth set-up and who always dreamed of featuring for Les Bleus, will start at centre-back against Didier Deschamps’ side.
