Sky Sports pundit has noticed there’s one ‘frustrated’ Utd player ‘always waiting to get taken off’ | OneFootball

Despite the plethora of issues surrounding Manchester United at present, Marcus Rashford always finds his name being dragged through the mud.

This season, the forward has done what fans have been demanding of him for well over a year: getting his head down and getting back amongst the goals.

In his 10 appearances across all competitions thus far, Rashford has tallied a respectable four goals and two assists. He has, for the most part, retained his starting role under Erik ten Hag, but has faced stark competition from young duo Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo, and did find himself dropped for the stalemate at Selhurst Park last month.

It remains to be seen if, as the term progresses, he’ll be able to replicate the prolific form we witnessed in 2022/2023. It was a career-best for the 26-year-old, during which he hit the 30-goal mark for the first time.

However, you couldn’t really blame him if he doesn’t, as the current setup is proving to be detrimental to the squad. If they’re not being overplayed, like Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, who have both withdrawn from international duty with injuries, then their confidence is shot to pieces because of how the manager sets the side up for failure.

Rashford’s doesn’t look as though he’s ‘enjoying his football’

That’s why it’s unsurprising that Rashford’s body language has been brought into question since the campaign began. More recently, Jamie O’Hara voiced his concerns over where the Carrington graduate’s head is at, telling the Sky Sports panel: “Rashford doesn’t look like he’s enjoying his football.

“He’s a dangerous player for Man United. He had a couple of chances [against Villa], [he] cuts inside, gets his shot away, you know. I really like Rashford, I do. I think he’s got so much potential to be a top, top player.

“But his body language just doesn’t seem to be right at Man United. I feel like he’s always waiting to get taken off, and he gets frustrated, and he could have gone today. So, the manager has to make that decision for the team.”
