Juventus recovered from three goals down against Bologna on Monday, collecting a 3-3 draw and La Gazzetta dello Sport saw ‘signals’ of the Bianconeri’s future at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

Juventus drew 3-3 with Thiago Motta’s Bologna on Monday night in Paolo Montero’s debut as a caretaker coach.

Bologna dominated the game for over an hour, but Juventus scored three goals in just eight minutes in the second half to level the score.

In the last 30 minutes, Montero not only brought in Kenan Yildiz and Nicolò Fagioli, who made his first appearance after a seven-month ban for gambling, but also switched the system to a 4-3-3 with Federico Chiesa and Yildiz on the wings and Dusan Vlahovic as a lone striker before Arkariusz Milik’s introduction from the bench.

On page 11 of Tuesday’s printed edition of Gazzetta, journalist Marco Guidi wrote that there were signals of Juventus’ future in Bologna as the Bianconeri completed a memorable comeback with a new system, seeing Chiesa and Yildiz shine.

Ex-coach Massimiliano Allegri had never really used an attacking trident this season, but it worked pretty well in the last 30 minutes in Bologna.

Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli said after the game that the Bianconeri must have a different approach next season, being more organised and trying to dominate possession.

Thiago Motta appears to be the leading candidate for the Juventus job in 2024-25. In the coming days, the ex-Italy international will meet Bologna President Joey Saputo to discuss his future.
