La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Joshua Zirkzee’s €40m release clause is valid from July 1 to August 15 but commissions for the striker’s agent must be added to the transfer fee.
Milan, Arsenal, Juventus and Manchester United are among the clubs interested in Bologna star Zirkzee who can leave Bologna for just €40m this summer.
Gazzetta confirms that the clause will be valid for all clubs, not only Bayern Munich and that teams interested in the Dutch forward can activate his clause between July 1 and August 15.
However, any interested clubs would also need to add hefty commissions for the striker’s agent to the transfer fee.
Several sources in Italy claim that Zirzee wants to remain in Serie A, but Corriere dello Sport reported earlier this month that the striker’s representative, Kia Joorabchian, was pushing for a move to Arsenal as he’s on very good terms with Gunner’s director Edu.
Zirkzee scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 37 appearances across all competitions with Bologna in 2023-24.
Despite that he hasn’t been included in the Netherlands squad for Euro 2024. According to Gazzetta, Milan will have €100m available in the summer transfer window and Zirkzee will be one of their main targets.
