This comes amid confirmation, by way of Mundo Deportivo, that Dodi Lukébakio marked his return to first-team training this morning.

Quique’s troops were put through their final preparatory paces earlier today, ahead of an impending showdown with Imanol’s Real Sociedad on Saturday afternoon.

And though a whole host of key Nervionenses stars remained absent, including the likes of Marcos Acuña, Joan Jordán and Marcão, there was positive news regarding the situation of the aforementioned Lukébakio.

Attacker Lukébakio, for his part, has been sidelined since all the way back in December, owing to a knee injury suffered in a La Liga meeting with Mallorca.

After ramping up his recovery efforts over the course of the last couple of weeks, Friday at long last saw the Belgian given the green light to link back up with his teammates on the training pitch.

This comes just 24 hours on from fellow winger Erik Lamela doing likewise, having recovered from a back issue.

It now remains to be seen whether either are risked by boss Quique against Real Sociedad at The Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
