Sevilla head coach Quique has today provided a fresh insight into his relationship with Youssef En-Nesyri.

As much, of course, comes after the pair were involved in an altogether public falling out prior to the international break.

En route to an eventual 2-1 defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo, frontman En-Nesyri – who bagged his side’s only goal of the day – was hooked from proceedings on the hour mark.

As much sparked a furious response on the part of the Moroccan, who resorted to kicking water bottles as he made his way to the bench.

Bemused by the actions of his goalscoring star, Sevilla boss Quique, in turn, quickly moved to confront En-Nesyri.

Not backing down, the latter then chirped back at his manager, with Luis Ocampos having ultimately been forced to step in to separate the pair.

Speaking to the media post-match, En-Nesyri was keen to play the incident down, though Quique appeared in less forgiving mood.

During his latest press conference on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of relations between he and his striker was put to Sevilla’s headmaster once more.

And, this time round, Quique appeared in altogether more positive mood.

“The relationship is now as it was before the conflict,” the Spaniard began, as cited by Mundo Deportivo. “I believe that dialogue is the best translator in times of conflict. As soon as he came we gave each other a hug, we respected each other from minute one and from day one and we understand that we have learned from this situation. My learning is that courage is also about staying still. Courage is good for defending situations but staying still is better because it is more difficult. The hug has been felt and the best thing is that the coach and the goalscorer are now together.”
