Inter supporters breathed a sigh of relief that striker Marcus Thuram will not be out long term with his current injury, meanwhile the club’s Curva Nord ultras will not perform alongside Kanye West on Thursday evening, and four Serie A clubs took to the field across the league, Europa League and Conference League.

Thuram pulled up for Inter during the first period of Tuesday evening’s 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg. He was replaced by eventual match winner Marko Arnautovic at half-time.

The Frenchman underwent medical examinations on Thursday morning, revealing a pull of the adductor muscle in his right thigh.

The initial reports from the club indicate that Thuram could be in line to return against Genoa on March 4 or Bologna on March 10, but importantly, that the injury is not likely to keep him out long term.

In other Nerazzurri news, a group of around 500 Curva Nord ultras were expected to take to the stage alongside rapper Kanye West at the Assago Forum for his concert on Thursday night, but the plans fell through at the last minute for reasons still unknown to the press.

The supporter group were recently credited on the album ‘Vultures 1’ for their appearance on tracks ‘Stars’ and ‘Carnival’ alongside West and collaborator Ty Dolla Sign. West was also in attendance in San Siro for Tuesday evening’s Champions League clash against Atleti.

Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel has been suggested as a potential candidate for a number of jobs in Serie A by TVPlay.it ahead of the 2024-25 season, including Napoli and Roma.

In terms of matchday action, Milan lost 3-2 to Ligue 1 side Rennes in the second leg of their Europa League play-off round, but still qualified for the Round of 16 with an aggregate score of 5-3. Rossoneri goals on the night came courtesy of Luka Jovic and Rafael Leao.

Torino and Lazio also kicked off their postponed match from the 21st round of Serie A fixtures at 19.45 GMT.

And, at 20.00 GMT, Roma began their Europa League second leg tie against with Feyenoord. The Giallorossi require a win by the end of the night to qualify for the Round of 16, having drawn 1-1 in the first leg in the Netherlands last week.
