Saudi Arabia target move for another Real Madrid heavyweight following Vinicius Junior interest | OneFootball

Real Madrid are littered with world class players, and the (slight) negative in this is that several that become targets for Saudi Arabia. This week, Vinicius Junior has been pursued, but after seemingly being put off by Los Blancos’ demands, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) are now pursuing one of the 24-year-old’s teammates.

Ge.Globo have reported that the PIF contacted Eder Militao’s agents earlier in the week to gauge the interest in a possible move to Saudi Arabia. Real Madrid have been notified of the interest, although the matter is still in its early stages.

A deal for Militao has been described as “far from simple”. The defender, who played in Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup final victory, is emotionally attached to Real Madrid, so it would be extra difficult to prise him away.

Real Madrid would surely have little interest in selling Militao, especially so given their lack of options in central defence. Because of this, a deal would only take place if his €500m release clause was activated.
