It’s an irrefutable fact, known to discerning football fans all over the globe, that Sampdoria have the most beautiful shirt in the world.

And now, that’s official.

The Italian giants have unveiled their new kits for the 2018/19 campaign with the slogan: “the most beautiful shirt in the world”.

We’re giving a big hand to kit manufacturer Joma for this one, and their marketing chief was at pains to reveal how big a deal it is to be working with the Luigi Ferraris outfit.

“Sampdoria have an identity that must be preserved,” Mauro Conti exclusively told Onefootball.

“All football fans, not only Samp supporters, find themselves in front of the Bluerchiati shirt and recognise it at first glance. It’s unique”

We’re definitely not going to disagree with that .

It’s that unique design and that unique bond that Samp have with their fans, that the club wanted to bring to life with this new kit, according to the team’s own marketing chief Marco Caroli.

“We hope that the reaction of our fans confirms, through something concrete like purchasing a season ticket or buying a shirt, shows that we can reiterate a key aspect of the club – the symbiosis between the team and the fans.”

But will this latest kit bring some success on the pitch and potentially take the Genoa side to Europe? We asked president Massimo Ferrero for his thoughts.

“I’m an ambitious man,” he told told us. “I’m never satisfied. I want the best for myself and for the companies that I’m a part of.

“But on the eve of my fifth season in football I can say that I’ve learned not to think past the next day.

“This is a wonderful sport that is completely unpredictable. ”

Well whatever happens on the pitch, Samp are going to look ridiculously good doing it.
