Former Roma captain and manager Daniele De Rossi remains on the radar of several clubs interested in appointing him to their bench.
The 41 year-old has been out of management since his stint with the Giallorossi ended last September. Following recent interest from Pisa and Parma, Corriere dello Sport reports Sampdoria have De Rossi at the top of their wish-list to become their new head coach.
The Blucerchiati are keen to start a new cycle after they barely avoided the drop to Serie C after they defeated Salernitana in their relegation playoff on Sunday.
With preseason just two weeks away, Sampdoria president Matteo Manfredi is moving quickly to lay the groundwork for a stronger 2025/26 campaign. He’s expected to meet soon with current manager Alberico Evani, though the likelihood of Evani staying on next season appears slim.
Daniele De Rossi, while still unproven as a long-term solution, stands out as an exciting and ambitious option for the Sampdoria bench.
However, other candidates remain in consideration—most notably Fabio Pecchia, who has drawn interest from several clubs following his recent exit from Parma.
