Paul Pogba (32) has made a return to football, signing a two-year deal with AS Monaco, the club has confirmed.

The Frenchman is a free agent following the mutual termination of his contract at Juventus. That termination came during the midfielder’s doping ban, which came to an end in March. However, with French clubs unable to register the Frenchman for the second half of the season at the time of his return from a doping ban, he did not immediately find a new club.

However, Monaco, wanting to add experience to their squad ahead of another UEFA Champions League campaign, have signed the former Manchester United and Juventus man on a two-year deal. His arrival coincides with that of Ansu Fati, who has joined on an initial loan deal, set to be officialised on 1st July. The pair are the second and third signings of the Principality club’s transfer window after Eric Dier also arrived on a free transfer.
