In an interview with Welt am Sonntag, Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn once again reiterated that Robert Lewandowski will be at the Bundesliga club next season despite concrete interest from Barcelona.
“Robert Lewandowski has a contract until 2023 and he will fulfill it,” said Kahn. When questioned whether Bayern offered a contract extension, Kahn added: “We submitted a concrete offer to his agent, otherwise we wouldn’t say so.”
Lewandowski claims that he hadn’t received an offer for a contract extension and became unhappy after it emerged Bayern were interested in signing Erling Haaland.
